OptiSqueeze ("the App", "we", "us") is an Android application that compresses images and PDF files directly on your device. This Privacy Policy explains what information the App accesses, how it is used, and the choices you have.
OptiSqueeze never uploads the photos, images, or PDF files you choose to compress
to any server. All compression (image re-encoding and PDF rasterization/re-embedding)
happens locally, in memory and in the app's private cache, using on-device libraries.
When you tap "Save," the compressed output is written to the public
Downloads/OptiSqueeze folder on your device using Android's MediaStore
(or, on Android 9 and below, a direct file write) so you can access it from your
Files app. We do not have access to, and do not collect, the content of these files.
The App does not require you to create an account, sign in, or provide personal information such as your name, email address, or phone number to use its core features. The App does, however, use the following third-party services, which may collect limited technical data automatically:

None of these services receive the content of your compressed files. They may collect device identifiers and usage statistics as described in their own privacy policies:

The App also lets you pick image and PDF files via the system file/photo picker. This does not grant the App broad access to your storage — only the specific files you select are read.
Compression history (file names, sizes, and timestamps of past compressions) and app settings (such as your preferred compression quality) are stored locally on your device using Android's SharedPreferences. This data is not transmitted to us and is removed if you clear the App's data or uninstall it.
We do not sell your personal information. Data described in Section 2 is shared only with the named service providers (Google AdMob, Firebase) for the purposes stated above, under their own privacy and data-processing terms.
Locally stored history and settings persist until you clear the App's data or uninstall the App. Data collected by Firebase and AdMob is retained according to Google's own retention policies, which you can review at the links in Section 2.
OptiSqueeze is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can address it.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Effective date" above. Continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
